I've been vowing to write this forever. Now that I'm actually in a position to do it without interference, I'm not going to put it off any longer.
So, it's obvious that there's a little confusion about what each rank means exactly. Previously, our ranks were little more than an awards system, given to people for dedication and not competence. Therefore, it seems like some order is needed. This is my Reformed System, version 2.0. I'll start at the top. Consider this your checks and balances, Death.
1. The Leader -HCRÞ~
The Leader (or the Clan Commander) is in charge of creating and enforcing the rules, as well as presiding over the Council. All large decisions go through them, and they appoint or remove Council Members. There is only one Leader at a time, and they are elected by a clan-wide vote.
CURRENT POSITION HOLDER: HCRÞ~мδňК
2. The Council -HCR¬
The Council isn't a specific rank, but a position. The Council is made up of the PC Division commander, the Xbox Live Division commander, and the Executive Assistant. They meet and vote on important issues. They can remove the Leader by vote if they have a legitimate reason, and they also vote on promotions and other clan issues. Their specific ranks are technically equal in status, but each has a different purpose, as outlined here:
Co-Leader- HCR~
Reports directly to Leader. If the leader resigns, they are in charge of the clan until an election can be organized. Also, they are responsible for making sure the Leader stays informed about any major events.
CURRENT POSITION HOLDER: HCR~ÂŽÛŘÊ
PC Division Commander- Is in charge of recruiting/overseeing members for the PC Division. Enforces the clan rules, etc.
CURRENT POSITION HOLDER:
Xbox Division Commander- Oversees the Xbox Division. While the XBL Division is considered a part of HCR as a whole, the XBL Commander has free rein over their division, and can set and enforce whatever rules are needed.
CURRENT POSITION HOLDER: HCRÞ~мδňК
3. Field Commanders -HCRƒ~
Field Commanders are responsible for organizing interclan matches, hosting servers, holding tryouts, and other ingame-related things. (NOTE: The ~ is not required ingame if your name is too long.)
4. Senior Members -HCR§~
Senior Members are minor administrators who help keep the site running smoothly. They can recommend people for promotion, and they make sure everyone follows the rules.
5. Active Members -HCR£~
The standard member rank. Active Members are expected to follow the rules and help new members get along well here.
6. Trainees -HCR+
All newcomers are given this rank for one month after they try out. This is an evaluation period, and they aren't considered official members. Trainees are to be on their best behavior if they want to actually join.
