Ok, so now since there's a new trend of putting funny pictures up everywhere, I thought this would be important. Instead of just linking to the pictures, you can save a lot of trouble by just adding them to the thread. There are two ways to do this.
The first is easiest. Simply copy the URL of the picture, click the "IMG" button on the post options above, and paste it between the two tags that come up. This is called hotlinking, and isn't really a good idea because it steals bandwidth from the host and pisses them off.
The second method is harder, but won't piss anyone off. It's the same principle, except requires a site that is MEANT to host photos. Now, to do this, you have to have the picture posted on said photo-hosting site. Among them are... www.photobucket.com www.flickr.com www.tinypic.com www.imageshack.us The list goes on and on. However, I can't seem to find the IMG tags for Flickr. So if you use it, refer back to method #1. Anyway, create an account there, and then hit upload photo. Upload your photo. For Photobucket, click on the image. Underneath the photo there should several different URLs. The one you want is the IMG tag. Copy-paste the IMG tag into the post you want to add it to. Simple. Tinypic works the same way, but the IMG tag is on the left side, and you have to scroll down a little. For ImageShack, once you upload the photo, click on it. Little buttons should pop up on the right side. Click the second one, the one that says "Image Details". On THAT page, scroll down and look on the right side. You should see the IMG tag. Copy/paste it into the post. Even this kitty can do it! Tutorial by ©³~мδňК
