So many people have asked me about this, I figured I'd make a tutorial. This tutorial is if you have a mod that you don't want, or a corrupted file that you need to replace and you didn't make a back-up.
1. Make sure the Halo disc is inserted in your computer. 2. Go to Start->Run 3. Type "d:" (without quotes, assuming Halo is in your primary CD drive. If need be, try "e:") 4. Go to FilesCab 5. The map files contained in each cab are as follows (under Cab#/maps/): Cab1 - a10, a30, a50, d40 Cab2 - b30, b40, beavercreek, bloodgulch, boardingaction Cab3 - c10, c20, c40, carousel, chillout, d20, damnation, dangercanyon, deathisland Cab4 - bitmaps Cab5 - sounds Cab6 - gephyrophobia, hangemhigh, icefields, infinity, longest, prisoner, putput, ratrace, sidewinder, timberland, ui, wizard 6. Copy the appropriate Cab to your desktop. 7. Unpack it using WinRAR, WinZip, or an equivalent software. Check our Tools section for these. 8. Copy the appropriate map to your maps folder. (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo\MAPS)
