Is your router a 2Wire router/modem combo thing? Because their routers are infamous for doing that. Mine does all the time. Or, if you have a modem hooked into a router, it could be that the router isn't properly obtaining an IP address from the modem. I had to reinstall mine, but it seems to work fine now.

I just have a Net Gear Modem when i go into the settings (192.168.0.1) it shows nothing doesn't show the IP or the DNS the provider is Road Runner so not sure if there messing up or if this Modem is going out. Not sure how to uninstall the firmware if thats what you mean but it seems fixxed it hasn't gone down in a couple hours so i guess its better if it keeps going out ill just call someone to fix it.

Your first mistake: using a Netgear. Neatgear=crap.
Your second mistake: using Roadrunner. Unless I'm mistaken, that's SBC (aka AT&T). AT&T=craptastic.
But that would explain your connection problems. AT&T Internet is about as reliable as anything Microsoft has made in the last decade. Microsoft=ubercraptastic.

One thing I noticed about my modem though is that when I configured it to use the Google public DNS, it quit randomly disconnecting. Maybe you should try that if you haven't. Or you could get a new ISP. I don't know where you live, but if Cox has service in your area, do NOT switch to them. Their PowerBoost is a lie and their tech support are all idiots.

I might try changing to the google free DNS see if that fixxes it cause I left my DNS on the default one that the ISP gave me which is prolly shit. RoadRunner customer support is also crap when I called them.

Hmm. One thing I do like about AT&T is that their customer support at least seem to know what they're doing. Probably because they have to fix the same damn problem 1,000 times a day. At least they accept the fact that they suck. Anyone who lives in one of Cox's service areas knows how full of themselves they are. A support call to them ends up taking an hour for you to convince them it's not your fault, at which point they tell you to go fuck yourself and then bill you double for it. One of their douchebag technicians actually had to make a house call once. He spent an hour messing around with my computer, completely ignoring me when I explained the problem. Then he left because he couldn't stand "some kid who thinks he knows everything" telling how to do his job. At which point I took the liberty of fixing the damn thing in 3 minutes.
Cox...if ever a company was aptly named....
But the point is, I would rather have crappy Internet than crappy customer service because at least I can fix the Internet.

Well speaking of that I found some thing strange about my network when I was in the setting seems that the IP keeps trying to expire every minute and get a new one but it never does and shuts down everytime not sure how to fix this or just buy a new modem. Wow there customer support sucks I think I would rather RoadRunner
